Spotlight: Men’s Richer Poorer Socks

Richer Poorer Socks are perfect for this winter-to-spring transition we’ve got going on. Here are some ways to wear a few of my favorite pairs: (excuse the rhyming):

Above: Carhartt Work In Progress Sweater in Heather Grey

Above: Mr. Porter Beams Plus Cotton Button-Up in Green

Above: Striped Shirt by Archival (stripes on stripes is a great thing)

Happy Styling,

Kelsey

In love with Dean.

Dean bags are built of soft and supple Italian leathers, old methods of construction with modern shapes that transcend fads.  These are the bags that will still be in rotation 15 years from now. Hand Built in Los Angeles.

Built to last. And built to be loved.

Enjoy!

We always recommend JD’s Shoe Repair. Her work is impeccable and she’s great to boot!

Hello, do you carry the Red Wing 875 in around a size 8.5?

Unfortunately we don’t have that specific style although we have many other Redwings!

Classic with a Side of Casual

I love a man with a laid-back, yet snappy, appearance.  You know the type - they look comfortable but still fashionable. The “Calypso” from J Shoes is a great starting place to achieve that look. J Shoes describes the shoe as a “traditional brogue with a classic upper and casual sole”.  So if that description fits you, classic with a casual twist, then this shoe is for you!

But wait! Don’t forget to accessorize your ensemble with a great messenger bag from Property Of…, maybe a flask from Izola to keep the punches rolling, and a knife from Son of a Sailor so you are always prepared!

Our only location is in Portland, Oregon! Sorry!

Neutralized

I love a good neutral palette. Goes with everything, and looks good on everyone. For those of you whose wardrobe is swimming with greys, browns, and creme, fear not - we have some spring goodies for you too!

The Chocolat Blu “Web” is a beautiful light tan color that gets your attention with intricately woven, soft leather. I love the two opened backed tops up above and these would mimic that little cut out detail perfectly, without over doing it.

Jeffrey Campbell’s “Borgia” is another favorite of mine. Simple, chic, and  a lovely cognac tone which you could rock with everything. The short stacked heel gives this a little edge and youth but keeps it easy for everyday wear.
Spring isn’t just for bright colors! Let’s get neutralized!

Manifesto’s travel essentials

Whether you’re going on an extended vacation or just out of town for the weekend, it is always wise to have some travel essentials ready to go! We have great Dopp kits from Izola, and fun wooden toothbrushes that let you know when it’s time to switch to a new one - always handy when you’re busy and on the go!

This Sandqvist duffel will hold all the essentials and more. It also happens to be 30% off right now at Manifesto, so scoop up the last one before I do! I love the navy and yellow combo too, classic yet spot-able for the airport!

And for you dapper dudes, its always smart to have some bathroom staples packed away. Our shave kit from Son of A Sailor and our grooming products by Brooklyn Grooming will keep your skin soft and cared for all Spring long.

I hear the weather will be in the 70s next week - beach trip anyone? :) - Analise

Redwing: Iron-Man

The “Iron Ranger” by Red Wing Heritage.
The 8111 style is one of the best work boots around, it is both durable and good looking.  Perfect for the Portland dude.  It has become more than just an ordinary work boot; it has stood the test of time and only become more loved.

The Iron Ranger boot is an important piece of history.  For decades it has been the chosen boot for a wide variety of working men.  From roofers to cowboys to miners, this boot has done it all. This particular boot is named after the Mesabi Iron Range in northern Minnesota.  Its rough terrain and remote location made it a gathering place for the rugged and adventurous types. The boots needed to be just as sturdy as the people that wore them.  By using durable double layered leather and triple stitching, they were able to achieve this. The design is still the same as the original and just as strong. Come see for yourself.
