A Guide on How to Keep Warm and Look Cute While Doing It

It’s winter, and although it hasn’t been a typical wet northwest winter, it has been chilly!

I’ve been trying my hardest to think warm thoughts but at some point I’m going to have to concede to the weather and cover my head and I want to look good doing it.

When that time comes, and I buckle down, I’m going to reach for the tried and true Coal Toque ($19 - $39). A staple I should have introduced long ago in to my wardrobe and one that I am looking forward to sporting no matter the weather!

Happy new year: the not-so-casual casual

Hi! We’re back with another fun suggestion to kick of the new year with some pizzazz! In the event that you currently have no clue where you’re headed on new year’s eve, and may not know until the last minute, here’s an outfit suggestion for you. I dig this one because it’s classic, dressy without being fussy or over the top, and will basically work for almost any setting you may get into on this night.

Stick to a simple palate (black and white is always chic) and you cannot go wrong. Add some sassy boots that dress up and down, and a few pops of color (I chose the oh-so-now hot pink!) and you’re ready to get down!
Hat: Coal, necklace: Betsy + Iya, scarf: Echo Designs, bag: Latico (can also be worn as a clutch,) booties: Camper (and comfy enough for any adventure!)

Happy 2012, folks!

A Girl Can Dream (Dream 3, Act 2)

Hello Dreamers! If you would plotz at the idea of wearing that many light colors at once, perhaps this dream is for you! I have paired this neutral-but-not-even-close-to-boring Morenatom boots with some darker shades this time because, well, you can wear them with damn near anything!

Including your comfiest jeans and sweaters (bonus points for a cool print peeking out on top,) polished off with a gorgeous Latico bag (“Meadow” shown here,) a floppy wool hat for some bohemian flare (“Brigitte” from Coal shown here,) and layers of necklaces and piles of rings, all done in silver for a brighter contrast from the blacks and browns (the necklaces are Minoux, the rings are from my dream!)

Just to keep things all even-stevens, I’m also going to show you a colorful way to wear these puppies too, because I am have been wearing a lot more color lately, and my dreams reflect that. How would you wear these boots? Do you ever dream about shoes too?
